| DYT Announces New Routes and Voyages | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Dubai, Southampton, Aarhus Added to Destinations FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. (December 3, 2007) – Following on the heels of a cooperative partnership with BBC Chartering & Logistics, Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT), the world's only float-on/float-off yacht transport service, has announced several new routes made possible by the lift-on/lift-off capabilities of BBC supplied vessels. Newly-set routes to Dubai (UAE), Southampton (UK) and Aarhus (Denmark) expand the Ft. Lauderdale-based shipping company's list of destinations, which currently include destinations in the Mediterranean, North West Europe, the Caribbean, the Pacific West Coast of North America and Central America, and the South Pacific. In addition to these new destinations Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) and its Australian agents Aurora Global Logistics, are also adding two extra voyages from the Mediterranean to Brisbane, Australia, to complement the already existing float-on/float-off yacht transport service to the South Pacific. The extra voyages in March and October will give clients better options to benefit from the cruising seasons in the South Pacific. "With BBC's ships added to the mix of DYT's own fleet of four semi-submersibles, it is now possible for customers to choose from more ports of call in regions that before were either inaccessible or not serviced directly by DYT," said DYT President Clemens van der Werf. "The difference in the transport procedure will be that BBC ships will utilize the more traditional lift-on/lift-off service, while DYT ships will continue with their float-on/float-off operations. In both cases, DYT service managers and loading masters oversee all details of a customer's experience, from planning to implementation, insuring the safe delivery of yachts of all sizes, both power and sail." Following is the schedule to the new destinations through 2008:
A complete schedule of voyages is available at www.yacht-transport.com. As destination offerings may increase or change, clients are encouraged to check back often for updates. DATES CONFIRMED FOR INAUGURAL HAMILTON ISLAND SUPERYACHT SERIES IN AUSTRALIA
Both motor yachts and sailing vessels are invited to compete in the inaugural Hamilton Island Superyacht Series, scheduled for November 9-14, 2008 amid some of the most beautiful Great Barrier Reef islands that Australia has to offer.
The series will see the introduction of a unique new competition for motor yachts while the sailboats will enjoy interesting courses that will take in the magnificent scenery that comes with this chain of 74 islands, 68 of which are uninhabited. This on-water activity will be enhanced by a grand social agenda that will be Australian in essence and based on the highest international standards. Internationally acclaimed English superyacht journalist and photographer, Roger Lean-Vercoe, was impressed when he visited Hamilton Island recently to experience first-hand the preparations for the Superyacht Series: "Hamilton Island is the perfect venue for such an event as it is not only located in the middle of one of the world's truly great warm water cruising grounds, but also offers reliable winds, a safe harbour, fantastic scenery, and great on-shore facilities" he said. "Until now there's been no annual superyacht regatta in the Southern Hemisphere and I must say this one has everything going for it. The fact that this series will provide some challenging sailing - without too much emphasis on windward work - as well as a fun competition for motor yachts, and a first class social programme, makes it even more appealing." The timing of the Hamilton Island Superyacht Series will allow competing vessels to cruise to Sydney and experience the spectacular New Year's Eve celebrations, and one of the world's most amazing displays of fireworks. Yacht owners considering a refit for their vessel will also be able to utilise the excellent superyacht industry that is available in Australia.

![]() http://www.oceanmedia.com.au/ WILD OATS XI EYES THE TREBLE IN THIS YEAR'S ROLEX SYDNEY HOBART
The 63rd Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race was officially launched this week, with 90 yachts ranging from 10 metres to 30 metres intending to line up on Sydney Harbour for the traditional Boxing Day start on 26 December 2007. The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia has received an increased number of international entries this year, with nine yachts representing four countries including the first ever Mexican entry (Iataia) and six boats from the UK. Six Australian states and the ACT will be represented, including four boats making the trip from Western Australia.
Bob Oatley's Wild Oats XI could become only the second yacht in the history of the race to take line honours over three consecutive years. The treble was last achieved by Claude Plowman's Morna in 1946, 1947 and 1948. With a line honours win, a record breaking run and the overall trophy in 2005 and line honours again in 2006, getting to Hobart first in 2007 would confirm Wild Oats' place as one of the legends of this internationally-renowned ocean race. However, Wild Oats XI will face stiff competition from fellow Australian entry Skandia, UK maxi ICAP Leopard and New Zealand's Maximus, which is returning with modifications to challenge Bass Strait once again after being dismasted in the early hours of the first morning of the 2006 Rolex Sydney Hobart. Wild Oats XI skipper Mark Richards played down expectations as usual, focusing his attention on getting the maxi ready to race again after it lost its mast during the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo in early September. "In 2005 and 2006 we were optimised to win the Tattersall's Cup but this year we'll be fully turbo charged for line honours. To match Morna's treble would be a great achievement and a real honour, but we've got to finish the race first and that's something we don't ever take for granted." The line honours record currently stands at 1 day, 18 hours, 40 minutes and 10 seconds, set by Wild Oats XI in 2005. Broadway - the Golden Opportunity
A golden slice of the Caribbean will soon arrive in Australia - the 72' luxury Mangusta, MY Broadway. January 2008 will herald the start of a new era for luxury chartering in Australia when MY Broadway arrives for exclusive chartering in Australia's pristine waters. Currently on her way from the Caribbean to Australia, MY Broadway will be based at the luxury resort town of Port Douglas, North Queensland until November 2008 when she will cruise to the Whitsundays for the Hamilton Island Superyacht Regatta and then on to Sydney for the spectacular end of year celebrations on the harbour.
Designed for intimate, opulent cruising, MY Broadway is 72' of sheer power. She has 5 star accommodations for six but is capable of entertaining 20 onboard. The itineraries are limited only by imagination and the onboard chef means fresh, innovative menus tailored especially for guests. The captain and hostess ensure every detail and expectation will be met. Jason Roberts, Australian agent for MY Broadway, sees her arrival as a major development in the Australian luxury chartering market. "The world elite is beginning to realise the beauty and unique qualities of cruising in Australia. MY Broadway provides the standard of service and finish they expect and receive in the US and Europe but now they can experience it all in the world-heritage listed Great Barrier Reef," said Mr Roberts. Elegant seaside living incorporating warm timbers, soft leathers and natural fabrics and textures throughout has inspired her interior to complete the ambience. NORTH STAR CRUISES ENTERS WEST AUSTRALIA'S TOURISM HALL OF FAME
North Star Cruises recently secured its third consecutive win at the 2007 WA Tourism Awards and entry into the coveted Hall of Fame. North Star's general manger, Mr. Peter Trembath, claimed entry into the Hall of Fame as industry recognition of North Star's sustained performance at the highest level.
"Our guests come aboard with the highest expectations yet they consistently acknowledge that their experience on the True North was the best holiday that they have ever had." "Now our peers in the tourism industry have formally acknowledged the same" Mr Trembath said. "A trip on the True North is the best adventure-holiday you can have." In accepting the 2007 award, North Star's managing director, Craig Howson, cautioned that industrialisation was threatening the company's principle area of operation. Mr Howson strongly recommended that more responsible planning was necessary to preserve the Kimberley region's stunning wilderness qualities. The company's much lauded adventure-cruise ship True North, is currently cruising in Papua New Guinea and will visit Sydney over the Christmas/New Year period. Andrew Short Marine's Sea Ray Rendezvous
Last weekend saw a flotilla of some of the worlds finest marine craft assemble in the Port Hacking's 'South West Arm'. It was a perfect setting for the 42 assembled Sea Ray luxury craft with the beautiful Royal National Park surrounding the circle of Sea Ray's. The owners enjoyed a spectacular weekend of Andrew Short Marine's hospitality. "We like to help people get as much use and fun as they can from their boats" said Andrew Short. "An event like this takes a lot of work to organise but seeing how much enjoyment everybody gets out of the experience makes it really worthwhile.
Sea Ray owners were treated to a unique ownership experience surrounded by their fellow boat owners and their families. The kids were kept busy with activities including boat races through the day, fishing competitions and the hilarious Mopsy the clown. The day also featured a helicopter fly over and coverage by the crew from "The Boatique" which goes to air on Channel Nine sometime next month.
