![]() In September 2007 OCEAN Media, publishers of OCEAN Magazine (Australia) will publish The Great Southern Route – as a ring-bound, hard copy Almanac and website for launch at the 2007 Monaco Yacht Show for European yachts and at Fort Lauderdale 2007 for North America. It will be distributed on board thousands of superyachts and available online at www.greatsouthernroute.com. A much needed and revolutionary maritime roadmap for superyachts considering a visit to Australia and the antipodes, The Great Southern Route will be a comprehensive guide to the voyage down under linking the Suez and Panama canals in what is surely one of the greatest long range voyages in the world. The Great Southern Route will be specifically designed to encourage superyachts to visit Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. It will provide superyacht captains with the necessary information they require about the “stepping stone” ports and cruising areas encountered to and from our region - from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. In the past six years, the number of superyachts that have cruised through Asia to Australia, New Zealand or across the South Pacific has increased significantly with superyacht captains and owners increasingly considering this part of the world as an attractive destination. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
