Market prospect in 2008:
Carriers predict a healthy growth ex China which was supported by a
continuation of the strong Australian currency and the ability of Australian
government in maintaining a stable economy. Australian dollar has increased in
value, therefore creating more buying power. Carriers forecast trade volume growth
around 8%.
