DOCKWISE YACHT EXPRESS LAUNCHED
Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT), is taking yacht transport to an even higher level by introducing the world's first specifically built yacht carrier to provide the fastest yacht transport service ever. The carrier will be the largest vessel of her kind in the world. This new vessel "Yacht Express" which will feature amenities designed for worldwide yacht transport, including: conference room, media room, an atrium with a swimming pool, fitness room, complimentary cabins for ride-aboard crew and other facilities to make the voyage as productive and pleasant as possible. The specially designed yacht carrier, built at the Yantai Raffles Shipyard in China, is semi-submersible in order to maintain the unique float-on/ float-off loading method. The yacht carrier has a length on 209 metres and a beam of 32.2m. Yachts can be safely accommodated between the spray covers in the dock bay. With a deck space of 5,115 square metres DYT is able to transport more yachts than ever in one voyage. Following sea trials in May, Yacht Express will mobilize through Australia and New Zealand to Florida before making a special appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2007.
